Ah, The Macallan Harmony Collection — the dram that decided it wanted to dress like a coffee bean and strut about like it owned the place. On the nose, it’s as subtle as your aunt at Christmas after three sherries — cranberry sauce and espresso beans come barrellin’ in like they’ve paid for front-row seats. Loud, proud, and nae shy about it.

Take a sip and… well, it’s like the band’s gone on break. The palate is far more reserved, leaning on chocolate-covered espresso beans with a polite nod to a raspberry chocolate bar — tasty, aye, but after that nose you expected fireworks, not just a warm candle.

The finish, though, finally remembers it’s a party. It stretches out, gets a bit punchier, and doubles down on those espresso and raspberry chocolate notes like it’s makin’ up for lost time.

Overall: It’s a fine wee dram for the coffee and chocolate lovers among us, but it does play a bit of a volume game — nose at full blast, palate in a library, finish somewhere in between. Still, it’s Macallan elegance with a caffeine kick, and that’s no’ a bad way to spend an evening.
