Nose:
Right off the bat, that peat shows up like smoke from a distant campfire—present, but not pushy. Then the sweeter side rolls in: corn, brown sugar, a bit of toffee, maybe even caramel. It’s a smooth operator, this one. The kind of nose that don’t yell, just tips its hat and lets you come closer. If you pay attention, there’s a whisper of flowers and fruit in the background—like the prairie after a spring rain.
Palate:
First sip, you get a hit of vanilla and char—like someone toasted a barrel and dipped it in cream. Then things get friendlier: orange cream, toffee, some salted caramel, a few nuts tossed in, and even a berry or two—black raspberry, I reckon. There’s smoke and peat dancing through the whole thing, like a campfire that never quite dies down. It’s bold but not rowdy. Might not blow your boots off, but it’ll sure make you want another sip.
Finish:
That smoke and peat stick around like the last cowboy at the saloon. Not too strong, not too soft—just sittin’ there, keepin’ company. Then comes a little cedar, bit of tobacco, maybe clove and a faint touch of maple if you squint real hard. The flavor lingers like a sunset that just won’t quit.
Final Word:
This could not have been named more perfectly…Feels like sittin’ by the fire after a long ride—satisfyin’ and steady. If you like a little smoke with your sweet, this one’s worth pullin’ off the shelf.
