On the nose, it’s a celebration in itself: peach, pineapple, and candied orange bring the brightness, while clove, warm vanilla, and that unmistakable Mizunara oak add gravitas. Think tropical cocktail, but served in crystal glassware at a five-star ryokan.

The palate delivers silky layers of coconut, cranberry, and creamy butter, with citrus quietly developing like a subplot you didn’t see coming. It’s vibrant yet refined, playful but poised.

The finish is sweet, enduring, and gently spiced—ginger, cinnamon, and citrus zest that linger just long enough to remind you of its pedigree. Medium-to-long, but never overstaying its welcome, it’s a graceful bow at the end of a performance.

Compared to the standard Yamazaki 12, this edition is unmistakably more polished—an elevated version of a classic, made special by its careful cask selection and the symbolism of a century in the making.
